Bob Ambrogi is a lawyer and journalist who has been writing and speaking about legal technology and innovation for more than two decades. He writes the award-winning blog LawSites, is a columnist for Above the Law, hosts the podcast about legal innovation, LawNext, and hosts the weekly legal tech journalists’ roundtable, Legaltech Week. He is also co-founder of the LawNext Legal Technology Directory.

 

Sumi Trombley | UpLevel Ops

Sumi practiced in law firms and in-house legal departments for more than a decade before coming to UpLevel Ops. Sumi previously served as Director, Legal at enterprise legal services provider Marshall Denning, LLC, where she managed and trained a team of junior and senior attorneys and developed and implemented resource optimizing processes for RFPs and pre-litigation disputes. She is known for her ability to provide strategic guidance and cost-effective solutions. Sumi holds a JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, and a BA in Political Economy from Georgetown University. She is based in Maryland.

Previously at HubSpot, she led the global vendor management practice area on the commercial legal team and served as the company’s first legal operations hire, leveraging data analytics to drive operational efficiency and cross-functional alignment. Ashlyn brings deep expertise in AI and SaaS legal matters, with particular focus on privacy, data governance, and technology transactions. Ashlyn holds a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E).
